Welcome
Welcome, was inspired by a short dream that the artist experienced just before he awoke one day. Looking down a hallway Jesus stood looking directly into his eyes. Jesus was literally in a white robe, but the artist chose to paint his form to be less obvious and more mysterious, similar to the Shroud of Turin. In that brief moment he noticed the doorway where light was shining into the hallway. It was then that he heard three distinct sounds… dishes, clanking plates and much laughter. It was a dinner, the banquet feast that is to occur at the end of the age. It was then that the Lord said these words… “I’m glad you made it.” Everyone is invited to the banquet. All one has to do is accept his invitation.
A vision of divine invitation — the moment when eternity opens its doors and love speaks directly to the soul. In a quiet hallway of light, the presence of Christ stands as both mystery and mercy, whispering words every heart longs to hear: “I’m glad you made it.” Beyond the threshold awaits laughter, music, and the warmth of reunion — the banquet of everlasting joy. Welcome reminds us that grace is not earned but offered, that heaven’s invitation is extended to all, and that the ultimate homecoming is a celebration of love fulfilled.
